This is, by far, my favorite shampoo. It consistently delivers, it’s quite affordable, and it’s made w/ only quality stuff. Love, love, love!
I was seeing a good handful of hair coming out every time I shampooed. Since starting with the Commence products that has really diminished. I look forward to shampooing. The detangler smells wonderful and it lasts! Hopefully I’ll start to see some thickening soon. I’ve been using the root serum, but it makes my hair a bit greasy so I haven’t used it as often as I should.
I think I’ll continue my search for a new shampoo and conditioner. I was excited about all of the good reviews, so I gave it a try. Im on week 4. My thoughts…Package is simple, easy to read and the smell is nice. Like others, I do agree the conditioner bottle is hard to squeeze. Both the shampoo and conditioner do detangle my hair and make it shiny, but it also makes my hair very greasy and flat. I like to wash my hair every 3-5 days. My hair looks so greasy on day 3 and it just feels so heavy. For reference… Im 43 with long hair, medium to fine hair strands, but I have a lot of hair. Overall, just ok, not my favorite. I will finish the bottle, but I won’t be repurchasing.
I have been using the same vegan shampoo and conditioner for ages bc I like it. Listened to Brooke on a podcast and, being in my 40s, decided I liked what she was doing for our age groups. Tried the shampoo and conditioner (both leave in and wash out conditioners) and serum for a few weeks now. I am not over exaggerating when I say that I have received several comments on how great my hair looks! Didn't change stylists and, in fact, mine is and has been on maternity leave so no normal coloring to hide the grey. It leaves my hair consistent - the ends aren't dry like I sometimes struggle with. And it takes blow drying so well (the few times I need to do it). I love her products!
I love the shampoo and conditioner...and so does my hair! It is much softer and nourished. The bottles are a little hard to squeeze. I broke my wrist so I struggle a bit. I do keep the bottle upside-down which helps. A less stiff bottle would be great. But this doesn't deter me! I'll still use it!
I noticed a difference after one wash! My hair has never felt so healthy. I am a high lift blonde and often have damaged strands. My hair feels great.
I'm impressed with how clean, nourished, and alive my hair feels after shampooing and the leave in conditioner. I've been using them almost a month now, after using other high-end natural products and it's refreshing to purchase a new product that lives up to its promises. I recommend it to friends and family.
Excellent shampoo and conditioner! My hair was so limp as I aged but this brought it back to life!
I really like this shampoo. It is helping with my Itchy scalp and my hair is softer.
Love the scent. Several comments on how great my hair smells after I started using this product. Also makes my hair very soft and managable. age 65, colored hair.
Hy hair feels very healthy and looks shiny without having to add any product. I do have a problem with the scent though. I have a strong sense of smell and have had to purchase most products unscented. The product is very strong but because they used pure essential oils instead of synthetics during processing, I can handle it a bit better. I was afraid that my eyes were going to burn. I had no problem with that though I made sure to wear a mask for a couple of days and went outside when it was windy to help temper the smell. That seemed to help. My hair is down to my waist. I brought the product with me when I went for a trim. The scent wasn’t as strong so it’s possible that I used too much.
I love the shampoo and conditioner. They’re both great. My only problem is. I have arthritis in my thumb and the tops don’t come off so it’s really hard to squeeze the conditioner out. You might want to think of repackaging for people with hand problems because it’s really good stuff, but I can’t buy it anymore because of the packaging. :(
The product is great, I like the way my hair feels but the bottles are very difficult to squeeze, to the point that I have opted to go back to use another product. I also think the fragrance is too strong. If these changes were made, especially the bottles, I would definitely buy again!
I love the smell of the detangler and how it easy it makes it to comb through my hair.
Love the way the shampoo & conditioner makes my hair feel soft & shiny! I do wish it didn’t have fragrance. Wish the bottles had a pump! Haven’t noticed any changes yet with the root serum.
I have been using Commence shampoo and conditioner for about two weeks. I absolutely love what it does to my hair. My curls are bouncy and my hair feels stronger after only a few uses. My feedback is this: you need to reconsider the packaging. This is being marketed to women in midlife and older. Many of us have decreased hand strength and mobility. The conditioner bottle is almost impossible to squeeze. Would you ever consider a pump dispenser? I love that the font on each bottle is large and easy to read. Please reconsider the bottle style.
Love both shampoo and conditioner. Leaves my hair soft and shiny. Only qualm is it’s hard to squeeze the bottles. Especially the thick conditioner.
So I’m a 60 woman and my hair definitely needed help the first thing I notice after using the shampoo was how shiny my hair looks the softness, I have fine hair but between colorings and drying and products it always lacked shine and now seems more manageable shiny fresh can’t wait to dry the conditioner and the “dry” shampoo :)
I placed a second order after the first use!! I’m using every product in the line and I LOVE each one! . My hair is left soft, smooth and fuller and, after the first week, I noticed hair loss has slowed considerably. The smell is light, fresh, and clean. I hope there are plans to develop travel sizes; I travel a lot and now I don’t want to be without my Commence while I’m on the road!! I’m a customer for life!
I tried the Root serum because my hair was thinning at the hairline. I used it every other day for 3 weeks and gradually started noticing REAL hair loss. I tossed the remainder in the garbage and thought I would post my experience here. I realize everyone is different, but this is certainly not the experience I expected.
Not sure if it works as I have only been using for a week. When applying and rubbing into the roots it leaves my hair dry and clumpy like a hair gel. Not what I expected.
First off, I wrote over a year ago about sampling. I was told there is no such thing here. I tend to have issues with some shampoos that tend to irritate a scalp with sebhorreic dermatitis issues. Sometimes shampoos are fine for a little while and then are a problem. I explained this to the CS agent. So not knowing, I blindly have to keep trying things. My hair is very thin and fine especially after thyroid issues. So having only tried it a couple of times, I can't give a full-on review, since I don't know if this will be problematic. When I opened the bottle, I wasn't happy. Really dislike the smell. Somehow, I thought this was more natural and would have a softer, more interesting scent, but unfortunately smells like a drugstore shampoo, very strong and not appealing. Third issue is that the bottle is a pain. I mean just a regular top would be fine.... Sigh.. disappointed.
